Istanbul Wax Museum

Founded in 2012 by Jale Kuşhan, a geophysics engineer, Istanbul Wax Museum is located in the basement of the doomed shopping mall Sapphire which is famous for being the tallest building in Istanbul. The museum contains 60 sculptures including the ones she created by her own means. In the museum you can see famous Turkish figures such as Tamarlane, legendary Turco-Mongol conqueror, Fazıl Say, Turkish pianist and composer, Atatürk, the founder of Turkish Republic, as well as there are wax statues of world famous figures such as Elvis Presley, Leonardo da Vinci, Karl Marx, Rumi, Napoleon and Dostoyevsky. Visitors can learn about the personalities of the wax figures through free presentations that are delivered in Turkish, English, Russian and Arabic.
