If you ask me how is Istanbul

I will keep quiet

In front of you I will put empty page

And show you my desire.

As for the black, I give you my Turkish coffee beans

I want you to smell it now and listen carefully

Use this color for fear, paint your demons inside

Get rid of your sore and admit, are you happier now

Good, cos it’s time for blue, for your calmer side

For this dye you have a small ‘nazar’ of mine

Do you know what is it? Protection from a ‘bad eye’

Think that you’re never alone, someone is on your side

Yellow, my favorite one, mixed with green is the best

You know what I mean, don’t you, my baklava eater

Take a piece and tell me, are you in heaven now

Come back I wanna give you a little bit of my ‘aşk’

Don’t be stupid, red is not a blood from my veins

Have you seen Turkish flag? You have one from me

Star and moon and your heart and your courage and dreams

But don’t make a mistake, Istanbul never sleeps

Your paint pallet I close with the color of white

I will bring a bit water and put rakı inside

It’s just for your creativity, I don’t mean anything

Take some ‘meze’, close your eyes and start dreaming it,

Now you have all colors

Draw whatever you want

Anything on your page

Is Istanbul and I.
