Union of Chambers of Engineers and Architects (TMMOB) Istanbul Branch has issued a release on November 24. They stated they won't let Haliç Dockyard be destroyed, and claimed it is one of the most important industrial heritage area in İstanbul.

“Haliç Dockyard has been there for 6 centuries, it has relics from and Ottoman Classical eras. Therefore, it is one of the most important industrial heritage area in Istanbul,” they expressed in the statement.

TMMOB claimed this project—Istanbul Haliç Yacht and project, namely, Haliç— will destroy and demolish the identity of the dockyard. TMMOB resorted to jurisdiction to stop the execution, and abolish the project.
