Fenerbahçe Sport Museum

Founded as a football club in 1907 in Istanbul, Fenerbahçe SK is now major Turkish multi-sports club, and one of the most famous clubs of Turkey, together with Galatasaray SK and Beşiktaş JK. They have won many trophies, and the success is not limited with the football team. In athletics, Fenerbahçe is the only club that wins the European Championship. The museum of Fenerbahçe was opened in 2005 in their stadium Şükrü Saraçoğlu Stadium which is located in the district of Kadıköy on the Asian side. Because of the fire event on 5 June, 1932 all the cups Fenerbahçe SK had won disappeared. Fenerbahçe’s museum now has 3000 cups that were all won after 1932, but however only 426 of them are on display. Besides the cups, you can also see the uniforms of Fenerbahçe SK from the early beginning until now, the collection of documents, and there’s also cinema salon where you can watch documentaries about the Fenerbahçe SK as well as old games that they have played. The museum is open every day and there’s no entrance fee to this museum.
