According to the English Times Higher Education magazine’s ranking on best smallest universities in the world, Koç University and Sabancı University ranked in the 8th and 10th positions respectively.

On the top of the list is the California’s Institute of Technology (Caltech). The universities represented in the list are from the United States, Europe and Asia.

It is important to emphasis that the magazine noted that Koç University is one of the forth universities in the list that taught six broad subjects: arts and humanities, medicine, physical sciences, engineering, social and life sciences.



These two private universities are based in Istanbul and are included in the list because of the quality of education and because they receive fewer than 5,000 students each.
